BWT Australia is official water supplier @ MICE 2022

BWT Australia is set to leave a great impression @ Melbourne International Coffee Expo (Mice). In addition to presenting leading technological solutions for optimising local water into perfect water for coffee, the international group not only supports the World Barista Championship (WBC) at Mice as the water filtration sponsor but also supports SCA’s (Specialty Coffee Association) sustainability activity.

As a water filtration sponsor, competitors will use specially optimised water from BWT water+more. Event visitors can experience the perfect water for the perfect cup of coffee by visiting us at Booth 491.

Water Filtration Sponsor for the World Barista Championship

Kicking off with MICE 2022, BWT Water+More is the official water filtration sponsor and water supplier of the World Barista Championships for the next four years. All competitors and all exhibitors at WBC will have the opportunity to use best water for coffee at Mice 2022.

In addition to this WBC sponsorship, BWT water+more also strongly supports the efforts of SCA towards sustainability. These activities underline the similar targets of SCS and BWT in protecting our planet blue. Therefore, the international coffee community, together with all stakeholders along the coffee chain, will be part of the unique BWT initiative ‘Change the world – sip by sip’.

Perfect, clear & safe water

Both organisations have started a joint, four-year project, which will provide 8 new water wells per year in Africa, Gambia, and Tanzania. A total of 32 new water wells. These wells will be credited as supported by Sca, and personally named after the six finalists of the ‘World Barista Championship’ at Mice in Melbourne this year. Each water well will give about 600 people access to hygienic, clear fresh water – 600 people at 32 wells – that’s nearly 20,000 people benefiting from the partnership.
