BWT and ALPINE F1 Racing

21st February 2022

BWT Alpine F1 Team unveiled their 2022 challenger – the A522 – in a dramatic launch show from Paris earlier this week.

BWT Global CEO Andreas Weissenbacher was present at the ceremony to officially acknowledge BWT’s partnership with Alpine. In a change of pace to most livery launches this year, two liveries were unveiled at the launch – one in blue and one in pink.

The special pink livery is an important step in the right direction for our newly formed partnership. As Andreas pointed out, the colour pink represents sustainability and awareness for reducing unnecessary plastic usage.

The pink livery will be used for the first two rounds of the Grand Prix this year in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

‘La vie en rose’ as they said at the launch.

BWT is back in PINK in the F1 World Championship series!

We are very pleased to announce our strategic, long-term partnership with Renault’s Alpine F1 Team for the 2022 season and beyond.

BWT and Alpine will work together to spread the message of sustainability around the world utilising the combined global platforms of Formula 1 and the automotive industry. Elimination of single-use plastic is just the first step.

Excitingly for the BWT Australia team, Alpine has signed young Aussie Oscar Piastri as its Reserve Driver for the 2022 season. The twenty-year-old is in red hot form coming off consecutive Championship wins in Formula 3 (2020) and Formula 2 (2021). He’s in good company too. Oscar will be waiting in the wings behind lead drivers, two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso, and talented Frenchman Esteban Ocon.

The official car launch takes place on February 21st in Paris.
